PLANS
Creating the plans with gridlines and the start of offsetting of the letters to create walls later. This was done mostly through circle tools, line tools and using the trim tool to get rid of excess edges.
EXTRUSION
Extruding the letters and columns upwards using the extrude curve command. I separated the K and C by height to help to differentiate the 2 letters better.
DETAILS AND OPENINGS
Using the boolean split tool, i was able to add openings and windows at the same time to the model. This would allow me to just change the material later on distinguishing between the 2 surfaces. I also added details like the parapet to the second floor by slightly offsetting the exterior curves and extruding them.
MATERIALS
Finally, i added materials to the model using concrete for the roof, Changed the wood texture to be darker and finally white paint for the walls.
REFLECTION
Through this excersise, i have learnt the basics of Rhino, learning basic commands and and functions can help me with my final project modeling the Le corbusier building.
