DOBOT APPLICATIONS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
Manpower is a very limited resource here in Singapore. Using robots, we can shorten the time to construct buildings. Robots could be used in precise placements of MEP systems in PPVC module to reduce time taken to install them as well as assembly of prefabricated facades.
BASE BLOCKLY CODE AND VIDEO PROTOTYPE
Using blockly programming, I created this stacking prototype with the DOBOT placing a block on top of a base object and is followed by another block placed on top of the other. To push the DOBOT's precision, I stacked the blocks on the narrow width.
FUTURE OPTIMISATION
In the future, i could remove the double rotation of the arm in the beginning i originally input to increase accuracy of the block grabbing. In real life scenarios, the white blocks would not be put there manually but can be placed through conveyer belts or another robotic arm.
